Dear Fellow Beekeepers,
I have some wonderful news for the MCBA! The Extension Agency has given the go ahead for our group to continue with our regularly scheduled meetings the fourth Monday of the month at 6 pm. THE ONLY CAVEAT IS THAT THEY DO NOT WANT US TO HAVE A POTLUCK AT THIS TIME AND NO COMMUNITY SERVED DRINKS. If you want to bring something to drink that is fine, we would rather not have food at the meeting for the immediate future.
Our next scheduled meeting will be July 26th at 6 pm at the Madison County Extension Agency off of Duncannon Road. Remember no Pot Luck at this time. I will try to get something together for a discussion topic or perhaps we will have an open forum on certain subjects.
Another news item is that the Madison County Fair will be July 23-31 of this year and they will have a Honey Exhibit – we would like for as many people to participate as possible. Let’s please show our support for this Fair and for the Extension Agency since they have been so supportive of our beekeepers group over the years. Check in for exhibits will be Wednesday July 21 from 2-5:30 pm at the Willis Exhibit Hall at the fairgrounds. Below is a list of exhibits that will be shown at this year’s Fair.
Keep the upcoming Beekeepers meeting on your schedule and I hope to see you at the next meeting July 26 at 6 pm. If at all possible please try to submit some honey for the different exhibits at the Madison County Fair this year.
Sincerely,
Kent J KesslerPresident, Madison County Beekeepers Association
